How to: Make blondie bars

I created a video that shows people how to make blondie bars. This baked good is, to put it simply, a chocolate chip cookie that has the texture and shape of a brownie.

To create the video I used an iPhone X as well as iMovie. I filmed each part of the recipe and showed how to mix it and what the blondie bars look like when they come out of the oven.

I came up with the video to do as a class project, because I think the recipe is really simple and easy to do, but the bars always come out tasting delicious.

I wanted to create the video, because I think a lot of people are currently baking during the coronavirus pandemic, and so I wanted to give people a new recipe to try if they have not yet tried this baked good.

I also think this baked good is really comforting, just like a brownie or a chocolate chip cookie. I have been making this recipe for years, and whenever I want a dessert or am craving a little bit of chocolate, I always go for this recipe.

Practicing video shooting

I practiced 18 video shots, such as zoom in and extra wide shot, for a class assignment. I shot all the videos with an iPhone X. There were difficulties in getting someone to shoot the videos with me and attempting to get some of the shots, such as the high angle shot and the tracking shot.

High school student forced to practice alone

I took pictures for a story assignment for class today and decided to take pictures of Nolan Weisdorfer, a junior in high school, as he trains for his track and field season during COVID-19. He has been training by himself when normally he would be with his teammates running. I took pictures of him running and stretching in a variety of shots.

Nolan Weisdorfer, a junior in high school, runs in Holly, MI on March 25, 2020. He continues to train for his running season despite the pandemic.
Weisdorfer runs daily in order to stay in shape. “I like running, because it’s a way to help me destress. It’s also nice to just get out of the house right now considering the stuff going on in the world right now.”
Weisdorfer walks to slowly stretch his muscles after his run, and to help slow his heart rate down after he completes a four mile run.
Weisdorfer stretches out hamstring muscles after his run. “Stretching is actually really important after you run, not just before you run,” Weisdorfer said.

Ferris State University student smiles through the stress

For a class assignment, I was asked to take headshots of someone. I choose to take headshots of Jonathan Schuster, a senior at Ferris State University. It had just finished snowing up in Traverse City, Michigan, and I thought it would create a perfect backdrop for the picture with the snow covered trees. So, during a break from online class assignments, we went out and I took pictures of him.
